This Little Beauty is a bay (a dark brown horse with a black tail). Often called common horses, bays are the least ridden horses on carousels. Even though they were common cavalry horses and nearly every pasture has one, they don't seem to get their share of respect! This horse was named by Marilyn Shaver, a carousel supporter and a carver on the Point Defiance Zoo Endangered Species Carousel in Tacoma, Washington. It is her favorite horse.
